I am continuing to have fun with the Marbled Elegance DSP from Stampin' Up. I created this treat basket to demo the technique at the recent Ready Set Crop Winter Wonderland retreat during the Friday night "Scrap Chats". I found the technique on YouTube. I usually make treat bags or boxes during the year for my co-workers so this will be the one for this year. Shhhh if you work with me!
The basket is made from 1 6"x6" piece of DSP. The handle is a 1"x8 1/2" piece of cardstock. To create this score the DSP on all sides at 2". Fold along the score lines and then cut in along the score lines on 2 opposite sides - do not cut on all 3 sides. Flip over and apply Tear Tape to the back as well as the ends of the handle.
I like to hide and straps or handles when I make treat bags or baskets so when I assembled this I adhered the handle to the outside of the center tab first before bringing the other tabs in to meet at the points.
I added some sentiment strips using the Hearts of Elegance stamp set, some die cut hearts, and pearls to embellish the treat basket. I filled a small cello bag with candy and tied with some ribbon to finish the treat.
I hope you like this treat basket. Thanks for stopping by!
