This was a fun layout to create. I did not have many photos from this Valentine's Day so this sketch worked really well for what I had. I used up my scraps of the Marbled Elegance DSP for this layout and love how the marbled patterns stand out against the black of the base page.
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch I found on Pinterest.
I changed the photo sizes to work with what I had for pictures. I did not mat the squares as done in the sketch and instead placed them a little further apart to then add some faux stitching using a ruler and white gel pen. I decided not to go around every block and just do the stitching along one diagonal. The hearts were stamped or die cut using the Hearts of Elegance stamp and die set. The title was also stamped using that set. I added some Pearls to embellish the layout.

Okay, so I guess I was wrong in saying I finished my 2024 albums. I realized I had two more layouts to do to finish - a December recap layout and a Christmas layout. Here is the December Recap Layout that is part of my monthly recap series. I used up most of what I had left from the Nests of Winter DSP for this layout and love how it came out.
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Even More Scrapping. You can see this sketch along with others here.
The sketch was converted from 12"x12" to 8 1/2"x11" to keep with the size of my 2024 family album. I changed the photo sizes to work with the changed layout size. I added a large background piece on each page for an additional pattern. The title was cut using my Cricut and the birds I used to embellish were fussy cut from a piece of the Nests of Winter DSP.

I don't care who you are but you are never too old to enjoy stuffed animals. Both Morgan and Nicole still do like them and when they found these ones online they just had to have them. They are pretty big and each weigh around 5 lbs. They came vacuum sealed and puffed way up when opened up. Morgan got a stegosaurus and Nicole got a sloth. I pulled some retired Stampin' Up DSP for this layout since the colors worked well with the photos and loved how this came out.
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch I found on Pinterest.
I changed the photo orientation to portrait from landscape to work with the pictures I had. I added a line around the large paper block using a black marker and ruler. The title was die cut using a set from my stash.

We recently celebrated Morgan's 27th birthday and had a wonderful meal out at our favorite local sushi restaurant, Yama Zakura. I pulled some papers from the recent Online Exclusives release - Botanical Textures and Woven Textures to create this along with embellishments stamped using the Cake Celebrations Stamp and Die cut bundle. Love how well the papers and embellishments worked with the photo from this!
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Scrap & Sketch I found on Pinterest.
I added an inner mat layer to this to add some more patterned paper to this. I did change the photo from landscape to portrait orientation. The strips are all 1" wide and I started with the outer frame area then worked my way in. I added some color to a few of the leaves on the patterned paper strips using Stampin' Blends markers for a little pop of color. I stamped and die cut the embellishments and stamped the sentiment banner. I added some Neutral Sequins to finish off the layout.

My first layout for my 2025 album and with this year I am getting back into the 12" x 12" size for my layouts. I had recently been introduced to Book Nooks - a fun craft kit that makes a scene inside a book for your book shelves. I bought 1 kit and enjoyed putting it together - this could definitely become an obsession easily! I pulled out the February Paper Pumpkin kit for this and used the card elements to create this layout.
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Laura Whitaker I found on Pinterest.
I used the card bases from the kit for the patterned paper in the sketch. For the longer strips I overlapped 2 smaller strips together - luckily the patterns lent themselves to this. I pulled a journal card from my stash and stamped the title using a set from my stash. I used a circle template an Early Espresso Stampin' Write Market to create the faux stitched circles. The embellishments also came from the Paper Pumpkin kit.
