October Paper Pumpkin and Alternatives

I know I am a little late in posting this but I still wanted to share this with you. In case you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin from Stampin' Up it is a monthly subscription box that typically contains card projects but will sometimes also contain other paper crafting and stamping projects. This October's Paper Pumpkin Kit gave all that was needed to make 10 cards - 5 each of 2 designs. I played with the contents and made 10 cards of differing designs plus a scrapbook layout. I wanted to showcase how you can change up the results from a kit.

This is the contents of the kit that I worked from. To create what I did I added some Basic White for some card bases, window sheets for the shaker cards as well as Night of Navy and Shaded Spruce for the layout.

First off is the layout I created.

I have been working with 8 1/2" x 11" for my layouts this year so I kept to this size for this. I cut apart 2 of the card bases and then cut 2" trips from them. The "seam" for joining the strips is hidden behind the strip of Night of Navy. I used some of the die cuts and sentiment banners for this as well.

Next are the cards. Cards 1 and 2 are the cards meant to be created with the kit. For the remaining cards I cut apart the bases and built each on a Basic White card base.  I created some as shaker cards and others as regular cards.

One thing I do really enjoy with the Paper Pumpkin Kits is having some materials leftover when complete. These are the pieces I have leftover after creating the layout and the cards shown. I plan on making some Christmas present tags from what remains.

I hope you liked the layout and cards! Thanks for stopping by!
