I love classic cars so was very excited to get to go to the Marlboro Car Show this past weekend. They have this set up along Main Street in Marlboro with all kinds of cars up and down the street. Mike, Meghan, and I had so much fun checking out the different ones. I love looking for the odd-man-out style of car - one that you do not see too many of at the show. I was especially excited to see some Ford Thunderbirds there from the 1950s. My favorite car is the 1957 T-bird with opera windows and was especially happy to see one of those there!
The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from Sketch Savvy. You can see this sketch along with others here.
This layout was a challenge I did for myself in that the supplies I used for the patterned papers and die cuts came from the May Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin' Up. I wanted to see how I could use what are typically card making supplies for a scrapbooking layout.
I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" to work with my current album size. The photo sizes were converted to work with the new layout size. I used some die cuts for the circle and journal box elements. The branches were some die cuts from the kit that I cut in 1/2. The title was cut on my Cricut. I added some Basic Grey and Smoky Slate Pearls along with some White Diagonal Trim ribbon to embellish the layout.
