Silver Bells Gift Card Box and a Process Video

The last project from my Silver Bells Gift Card and Money Holder Workshop is a cute gift card box. I taught this workshop during a recent Ready Set Crop weekend retreat. This workshop features the Silver Bells collection from Close To My Heart. This gift card box can also be used as a treat holder.

To make the Gift Card Box, score the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Charcoal cardstock along the 5 1/2" side at 1" and 4 1/2". Rotate the cardstock 90 degrees and score along the 8 1/2" side at 1", 3 3/4", 4 3/4", and 7 1/2". Fold along the score lines.

With your scissors cut in along the score lines on both 8 1/2" sides to the score lines on the 5 1/2" side to create the tabs. Using strong adhesive on the outside of the box base on the 4 corners fold the corners behind and adhere to create the box.

Adhere the inside bottom patterned paper piece to the inside box base and the sentiment piece to the inside box lid. Mat the lid patterned paper piece on the Mink cardstock piece and adhere to the box top. Adhere a piece of Zip Strip to this. With the box closed adhere the front, back, and side panels to the sides of the box.

Adhere the piece of patterned paper to the Toffee cardstock piece for the "belly band". With the gift box closed wrap the "belly band" around from the back and adhere the ends together using a strong adhesive. It is important to make sure you leave a little "give" when adhering so the band will slip off and on easily. Adhere a stamped ornament with bow image to the band covering the seam.

I added some Platinum Stickles Glitter Glue to the stamped images to add a little bling to the holder.
