When Meghan and I decided to go to New York City for a long weekend trip I let her do the planning for where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. One of the places she picked was The Museum of the Moving Image in Queens. She had heard about it from some friends and wanted to go there. I have to say it was so much fun! There were exhibits chronicling the history of TV and movies as well as famous movies. There was an exhibit dedicated to Jim Henson and the Muppets. An extra special treat that we saw that was a surprise to us was an exhibit dedicated to The Walking Dead - Meghan and Mike loved that show and she was excited to see this!
The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Page Maps. You can see this sketch along with others here.
I am continuing to use the Are We There Yet collection for these layouts. I added some patterns from the January-March Mix In paper pack to this as well. I modified the sketch slightly to work with the 8 1/2" x 11" format I am using for these pages and added a filmstrip element across both pages that I cut using my Cricut. The title was stamped using an alphabet set from my stash. I also added some embellishments from my stash to finish the layout. I added some "faux stitched" lines in circles around the stamped title with the Teal LePen and a circle template.
