Crazy Shakes Layout

Next layout from my trip to New York City last summer. Meghan and I wanted milkshakes after our shopping so she found this place that boasts "The Crazy Milkshake" - they were right! These milkshakes were loaded with lots of sweet stuff. As soon as you put your spoon in the top the chocolate chips went everywhere!

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Even More Scrappin. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I am continuing to use the Are We There Yet collection for these layouts. I changed it up slightly to work with the 8 1/2" x 11" format I am using for these layouts. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts set and the embellishments come from the Black & White Dots set.

Shop Until You Drop Layout

Continuing to work on the layouts from last summer's trip to New York City I did with my daughter, Meghan. Completed this layout during Monday's Scrapbook with me event. I am working with the Are We There Yet collection for this series of layouts.

The inspiration for this layout comes from the Close To My Heart blog. They recently shared this scrapbook pattern which you can download for FREE on the blog post. You can see this sketch along with their take on it here.

I changed up the layout from this sketch by converting it to 8 1/2" x 11" from 12" x 12" as well ad adding additional photos and moving the journaling. The papers come from the Are We There Yet collection and the embellishments are from my stash. I die cut the title out of Papaya cardstock using the Simple Serif Thin Cuts set and added some letter stickers from my stash to complete the title.

Away We Go Layout

Still working on the layouts from 2022 and realized that I still need to scrapbook the New York City weekend Meghan and I had in July. I decided to stay with the 8 1/2" x 11" format for these layouts but put them in their own album as we plan on several long weekend trips in 2023 that I will add to these. For the layouts from the NYC trip I will be using the Are We There Yet Collection. I completed this layout during Wednesday's Scrapbook with me event.

The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Scrapbook.com. You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted this 12" x 12" sketch to 8 1/2" x 11" for the layout and dug out my embroidery floss and needle to do some hand stitching on the layout. I used the T-Square Ruler and Piercing Tool to create the holes for the stitching. I have not used this method in quite a while and it was fun!

Winter Wishes Layout

Finishing up my December layouts with this one to document the various family holiday celebrations we have. I had fun creating this layout during Monday's Scrapbook with me event. This is the third layout I have done from the Workshop Wow: Four Seasons special. I am still working with the Four Seasons Winter collection for the layouts from this workshop. 

The inspiration for this came from Layout 3 from the scrapbook workshop. 

I am continuing the challenge to recreate these 12" x 12" workshop layouts in an 8 1/2" x 11" format. I kept the photo sizes the same for both pages but cut down the number for the right hand page. The large patterned strips are created by random stamping images from the Merriest Season Stamp set that came with the workshop kit.

Enjoy Life Layout

Catching up on some more layouts from our 2022 Family Album during the recent Scrapbook with me events. This time I pulled out the papers and stickers from the It's The Little Things special. 

The inspiration for this came from this sketch by Page Maps.  You can see this sketch along with others here.

I converted the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11" and turned the photo block into portrait instead of landscape. I swapped the paper layers to have the background be White Daisy and added some texture using a stencil, texture paste and Distress Oxide Ink. I changed up the solid mat for patterned paper and worked with the 6" x 6" papers from the It's The Little Things Paper Pack to create the mat.

December 2022 Monthly Recap Layout

I had fun creating this layout during Monday's Scrapbook with me event. This is the second layout I have done from the Workshop Wow: Four Seasons special. I am still working with the Four Seasons Winter collection for the layouts from this workshop. 

The inspiration for this came from Layout 2 from the scrapbook workshop. 

I am continuing the challenge to recreate these 12" x 12" workshop layouts in an 8 1/2" x 11" format. I modified the size of the photos for both pages. I also added Flip Flaps to be able to put some additional photos on the layout. In keeping with my monthly recaps for 2022 I cut the title using the December Digital file from Close To My Heart using my Cricut.
