Local Flavor Layout

Worked on this fun layout during today's Scrapbook with me event. I love checking out local stores and farmers' markets when I travel and enjoyed doing this while we were in Lucerne, Switzerland. Imagine my surprise seeing Dunkin' Donuts boxed and in a local grocery store!

This layout was inspired by this sketch from Citrus Twist. You can see this sketch along with others here.

The layout continues with the theme for my Rhine River Trip album in using the Hope & Kindness paper pack. The title was die cut using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts set and Black cardstock. I did the "faux-stitching" using a white gel pen and added some chevrons punched from Black cardstock. I had so many food photos to scrapbook so I added additional photos using the 3" x 4" Flip Flaps and having them open up in opposite directions. I finished off the layout with some enamel dots for embellishment.

Yum Layout and a Process Video

I had fun creating this layout as part of my Rhine River Trip album. It was a little too hot today to do a Zoom Scrapbook with me event so I decided to create this and do a process video of the layout to share with everyone instead.

I continued to use the Hope and Kindness collection for this layout and the sketch worked great in letting me use up some of the scraps from my work so far with the collection. I decided to double mat the photo block to give it a little more pop on the page. The title was die cut using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts. I added some Hope and Kindness Die Cuts along with some Clear Sparkles to finish the page.

Today's layout is another one from our visit to Lucerne, Switzerland before our Rhine River Cruise. After our walking tour Mike and I did some exploring on our own so I wanted to showcase some of the additional sights we saw.

I am continuing with using the Hope & Kindness Collection for this album. The base of the pages uses Kraft cardstock with some White Daisy and Harbour added. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts set. I added some smaller letter stickers from my stash to finish the title. I used some of the Hope & Kindness Die Cuts along with some Clear Sparkles to embellish the layout.

Lucerne Layout

Completed the next layout for my Rhine River trip album during today's Scrapbook with me event. We spent 2 days in Lucerne before boarding our ship and enjoyed a fun walking tour of the city with our guide Katrina. Loved seeing all of the older parts of the city and learning about the history.

I used paper from the Hope & Kindness Coordinating Cardstock pack for the base pages. The title was die cut using the Slimline Alphabet Thin Cuts. I added embellishments from the Hope & Kindness sticker sheet as well as the coordinating die cuts. I added a little bling with Clear Sparkles to finish the layout.

We Are Here Layout

Another fun Scrapbook with me event today and another layout from my Rhine River Trip album to share with you. This layout is for the hotel we stayed at in Lucerne, Switzerland during our pre-cruise extension. We had 2 days in Lucerne to explore the sights before heading to Basel, Switzerland to board the ship.

I continued to use the Hope & Kindness collection for this album. The larger part of the title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts set and the smaller part was handwritten on a punched label. I made the journal pocket from Kraft cardstock to fit the tag I die cut using the Tags & Tabs Thin Cuts set. I added some Hope & Kindness die cuts to embellish the layout.

The Adventure Begins Layout

Here is my next layout from my Rhine River trip album. This layout documents our travels from the US to Switzerland to start our vacation. I completed this layout during today's Scrapbook with me event.

I am continuing with my use of the Hope & Kindness Collection for this trip album. Here I took 2 of the Zip Strips and cut them in 1/2 lengthwise to make them 1/4" tall to work with the sketch. The title and travel themed embellishments were cut on my Cricut using the You Are Here Cricut Collection from Close To My Heart. I added some Hope & Kindness Die Cut shapes as well as some Sparkles to finish the layout.

Beach Party

I cannot believe it but we are now in July and with that 2022 is already half over! With the start of July I have a new Close To My Heart Catalog to share with you along with some information on the new catalog schedule as well as one of the collections from it.

Starting with this catalog the Close To My Heart catalog will now by on a 3-month cycle so this catalog is for July, August and September. The catalogs will feature 3 collections in them along with the same great product you expect to see from Close To My Heart. I am excited for this as it gives me more time to enjoy a catalog before the collections from it retire.

The first collection from this new catalog is the Beach Party collection. With summer just started and the weather staying warmer this collection is great for crafting this time of year.
