I love when paper collections contain basic patterns and colors that allow you to use the papers in layouts other than what matches the theme of the collection. I did just that with this layout done during a recent Scrapbook with me event. I pulled some patterns from the Cake Day collection to use in this layout for my daughter, Nicole's, part time job at an escape room.
The inspiration for this layout comes from this sketch from Sketches In Thyme I found on Scrapbook.com. You can see this sketch along with others here.
Since this layout is part of my 2022 album I did convert the sketch from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11". I used some of the paper along with Picture My Life cards for the patterns in this. The stitched circle was created by using a white gel pen and following the outline of a circle template. The title was die cut using the Simple Serif Uppercase Alphabet and I added some enamel dots for some embellishment to finish the layout.
