Be Mine Layout

Hello everyone and welcome to 2022! Sharing one of my first Scrapbook with me layouts for this year. I made a decision at the end of 2021 to change up my scrapbooking for layouts that are for my 2022 album. I usually try to do something different each year with my layouts and this year I decided to change my layout size from 12" x 12" to 8 1/2" x 11".  

What that means for me is that I will be scrapbooking any layout for events or months in 2022 in this size. What this means for those that join me for my Scrapbook with me events is that I will still be posting sketches that are 12" x 12" in size but I will be converting the sketch to 8 1/2" x 11" for my own version.

I am excited to share my first 8 1/2" x 11" 2-page layout with you! This layout features the new Smitten Collection special from Close To My Heart and I had so much fun creating this. I have not added pictures yet since it will be for this coming Valentine's Day.

The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch from the Sketches In Thyme blog. You can see this sketch along with others here.

To convert this sketch from 12" x 12" I first figured out the sizes for the elements for it as 12" x 12" then shrunk down some of the elements to fit better with the 8 1/2" x 11" size as some widths or heights would take up too much of the page if I used the 12"x 12" sizing.

It was a lot of fun to work with the Smitten Collection for this and I cannot wait to do more crafting with this collection. You can see and shop the entire collection on my website - here.
