Express Yourself

Created this scrapbook layout today during a Scrapbook with me event to document the many colors of my daughter Meghan's hair! We worked from the Scrapbooking Technique for 12" x 12" Pages With Strips shared on the Close To My Heart blog recently. You can see the technique along with instructions how to follow it here.

This technique of cutting the patterned papers gives so many options for putting together the strips on a 12" x 12" page whether horizontally or vertically and is a great way to create multiple layouts from a paper collection.

I was excited to use paper from the Candid Moments collection which is new today as part of the November/December catalog that just went live.

For the title I paired the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts with the Simple Serif Uppercase Thin Cuts. I cut "Express" using Carolina cardstock and "Yourself" using Sundance cardstock. I then stamped "Yourself" using Sapphire Exclusive Inks. I added some wood button embellishments from my stash to complete the layout.
