Easter Treat Bags and a Tutorial

Getting ready for Easter here and had so much fun making these treat bags for family and friends using the Daisy Meadows collection. Excited to share the tutorial for this with you today.

The treat bag uses cardstock for the base and patterned paper for embellishments. I added some stamped images from the Daisy Meadows Cardmaking Stamp Set for some additional fun. I have included a link to a PDF of instructions at the end of this post as well as a process video.

To create this treat bag first cut a piece of 12"x12" cardstock to 8 1/2" x 11 1/2". Score this on the 11 1/2" side at 3", 5 1/2", 8 1/2" and 11". Score on the 8 1/2" side at 2 1/2". Score again at 4 3/4" between the 3" and 5 1/2" score lines and from the 8 1/2" score line to the edge as shown in the diagram.

Cut away the areas as shown in the diagram and then cut up along the score lines from the bottom to make tabs.

Adhere pieces of 2 7/8" x 5" patterned paper to the front and back panels using strong adhesive then line up these panels to punch a handle.

Using strong tape, adhere the side tab behind the front panel then fold in each of the bottom tabs and adhere using strong tape to form the base. Wrap a piece of 12" x 1 1/2" patterned paper around the base.

Add some stamped elements to embellish. Fill with shred and candy, tie with a bow and add a tag for a fun Easter treat.

You can download the PDF of instructions here.

I hope you like the treat bag. Thanks for stopping by!
